As an ESOL student, can I get travel expenses?
Answer
Part-time and English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) students can access support from the Discretionary Fund to help with their expenses for travelling to College.
For part-time and ESOL students you must:
-
Meet residency requirements.
-
Get benefits e.g. Universal Credit.
-
Live more than 2 miles from college.
-
Be studying a course that is eligible for funding (has a qualification).
You will need to provide the following with your application:
-
Bank statement.
-
UK Passport, BRP card or e-Visa (visit the e-Visa FAQ for more details)
How to apply: Complete the application form, if you're studying ESOL or a part-time course. You need to be logged into your College account to access the form. It can take up to 4 weeks for an application to be approved.
