How do I reference?
Answer
When you reference, you give sources (cites) in your college essay or report for anything you use from another's work (words, ideas, data...). You then give full details of the sources in your bibliography at the end of your writing (such as web addresses, journal names etc.).
You can learn more about how to reference by watching our short videos on referencing, visiting our referencing libguide and by looking at the information on our referencing resource, Cite Them Right.
Your lecturer can contact the library to arrange an in-person or online referencing workshop for your class.
You can contact the library library@cityofglasgowcollege.ac.uk with any referencing questions, if you need further help.
